 - The most-winning brand of winning 5 times for the Moodies Award hosted by the Moodie Davitt Report

Lotte Duty Free Main Store in Myeongdong was selected as the Duty-free Store of the Year for two consecutive years.

Lotte Duty Free (CEO: Lee Kap) announced on October 28 that its Main Store in Myeongdong won the award at the 2021 Frontier Awards, which was held in the afternoon of October 27 (local time) at Cannes, France.

The Frontier Awards is a prestigious award in the global tourism and logistics industry held by Duty Free News International (DFNI), a British duty-free magazine. This year marks its 38th awards. The review panel composed of tourism and logistics experts in the fields of duty-free, airport, travel, and tourism, and they selected brands that stood out amid the COVID-19 pandemic with digital innovation and creativeness. Lotte Duty Free was the only Korean company to be awarded this year.

The Myeongdong Main Store, the largest urban duty-free store in the world, was recognized for its enhancement of a "smart store" to offer the first contactless store in the industry; the operation of "non-landing tourism" flights for VIP customers; the attraction of global brands such as Tatcha and Valmont for the first time in Korea, and; efforts in identifying and making win-win cooperation with small and medium brands.

CEO Lee Kap said, “I’m happy that our efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic has been recognized. Going forward, Lotte Duty Free will continue to prepare for the age of Korea's 'With Corona' scheme based on our strategies to lead the industry.”
